Hello, and thanks for stopping by.
What I Do: On my tax return, I list my occupation as "Graphic Artist". I should probably be more specific, but the fact is that I can do — and have done — a wide range of visual arts jobs, from graphic design to corporate presentations, from print production to photography, and also video production. And I've done all of these jobs really well, shown up on time every day, and always come to work with a smile and passably witty repartee.
My Toolbox: I do design and photography work in CS6 and Lightroom 5, and I also have extensive experience in CS5 and CS3. For coding, I use Sublime Text or Text Wrangler, but still use Dreamweaver for some site management work and for site-wide search and replace jobs. The video editing that I’ve been tasked with I’ve done in Premier Pro.
For document stuff, data charting and presentation work, I have expert skills in Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and a strong knowledge of Pages, Numbers and Keynote.
For photography, I used Rolleiflexes and Nikons from my earliest days right up to the D‑100, but when the first 5D came out in 2005, I moved to Canon. I use Epson equipment for printing and scanning.
With regard to computers, I’m platform agnostic — I use a MacBook Pro, and I’m fluent in OS-X, but I also have extensive experience in Windows. I’ve built, deployed, managed and supported high-performance Windows‑based graphics workstations.
I'm based in Alameda, CA. You can find on LinkedIn here, or send me an email.
